A standout feature of the Dexcom G6 and G6 Pro is the ability to deliver timely alarms and alerts based on your glucose levels, ensuring you stay informed and can make proactive health decisions.

With the Dexcom G6, you can monitor your glucose levels directly from your smart device, gaining insights into not just your current glucose number but also its future trajectory. The system's personalized trend alerts notify you when your glucose levels are moving too high or too low, empowering you to manage your diabetes more effectively. The Alert Schedule feature allows for customization, enabling you to set different alert settings for work hours and other times of the day. You can also choose from various alert sounds, including a Vibrate-Only option, though the Urgent Low Alarm remains non-disableable for your safety.

The Always Sound setting, enabled by default, ensures you receive critical Dexcom CGM Alerts even when your phone is on silent, vibrate, or in Do Not Disturb mode. This feature is crucial for maintaining awareness of your glucose levels without being disturbed by other notifications. Essential alerts such as the Urgent Low Alarm, Low and High Glucose alerts, Urgent Low Soon Alert, and Rise and Fall Rate alerts cannot be silenced, along with safety notifications like Transmitter Failed, Sensor Failed, and App Stopped.

Additional features enhance your experience with the Dexcom G6. The Share function allows you to send your glucose data to up to ten followers in real time, using the Dexcom Follow app on their compatible smart devices. This requires an internet connection. Furthermore, with Health Connect access, you can share retrospective glucose data with third-party apps, and the Quick Glance feature lets you check your glucose levels directly from your smart device's lock screen. For those using Wear OS devices, integration allows you to receive glucose alerts and alarms right on your watch.

Please note, some features like Alert Schedule, Always Sound, Share, Follow, and Urgent Low Soon Alert are not available on the Dexcom G6 Pro System.
