Access Permissions

By using VNeID, users consent to the application accessing the following features on their devices:

1. Internet Access: Essential for the app's functionality.
2. Camera Access: To scan QR codes on Citizen ID cards (CCCD), facilitating quick entry of basic information and streamlined travel and medical declarations.
3. Media and File Access: To save QR code images for verification at checkpoints.
4. Notification Permissions: To keep users informed with timely updates.

Personal Information Collection

Users voluntarily input personal data, including medical and travel details, either for themselves or on behalf of others with their consent. The collected information encompasses:

• Full name
• Phone number
• Citizen identification
• Gender
• Year of birth
• Permanent address
• Nationality
• Health status
• Travel details (departure place, destination, vehicle number plate)
• Exposure to individuals with COVID-19

All data is collected with explicit user permission via form submissions and is used solely for the stated purposes.

Responsibility and Data Usage

Users are responsible for the accuracy and use of the information they provide. The National Population Data Center ensures the security and confidentiality of user data, using it exclusively for COVID-19 prevention and control efforts. This data is shared only with health authorities and other relevant agencies to enhance disease prevention measures, and it is never used for commercial purposes or to infringe on personal privacy.

VNeID prioritizes user privacy and data security, with no data used for commercial gain or to invade personal life. Furthermore, the application does not collect location data, and users can engage with the community anonymously.
