Mecha BREAK to Unlock All Starting Mechs After Player Feedback

by Audrey Apr 25,2025

Mecha BREAK, the exciting multiplayer mech game, recently wrapped up its open beta on Steam, concluding on March 16. The open beta was a smashing hit, peaking at over 300,000 players and now ranking as the 5th most wishlisted game on the platform. In response to the valuable feedback received during this period, the developers at Chinese studio Amazing Seasun are contemplating significant changes, including the possibility of making all starting mechs, known as Break Strikers, available to players from the get-go.

Currently, at the game's outset, players have access to only one Break Striker. Unlocking the full roster of 12 unique mechs requires grinding through numerous multiplayer matches to earn the necessary in-game currency. This process can be time-consuming and may deter some players from fully engaging with all the game has to offer. The developers are now weighing the option of removing these barriers to allow immediate access to all mechs, enhancing player experience and engagement right from the start.

Additionally, Amazing Seasun is considering adjustments to the usage of mech modules in both 3v3 and 6v6 competitive modes. While these changes are on the table, the studio remains non-committal at this stage, emphasizing their belief in the live service model as crucial for the game's launch and long-term success.
