Wild Rift Goes Cosmic with Patch 6.1 in Mid-April
Get ready for an epic update with LoL: Wild Rift Patch 6.1: Ascending Stars, launching later this month. This patch promises a cosmic transformation across the board, from revamped menus to dynamic changes on the battlefield, as you journey through the Dual Nova galaxy, encompassing the Challenger’s Star and Adventure’s Star.
Three new champions are set to shake up the meta with their unique abilities. First up is Ryze, the Rune Mage, who unleashes powerful area-of-effect damage and can teleport teammates across the map with his ultimate, Realm Warp. Next, Nocturne, the Eternal Nightmare, thrives on sowing chaos with his Paranoia ability, which plunges enemies into darkness. Finally, Zilean, the Chronokeeper, manipulates time to slow foes and even bring allies back from the brink with Chronoshift.
Several champions are also receiving significant reworks. Garen’s Courage ability will now scale over time, bolstering his tankiness, while his Judgment will shred enemy armor more effectively. Ambessa is transitioning from the jungle to the Baron lane, with adjustments to her damage and life steal. Smaller tweaks are also planned for Diana, Fiora, Jax, Sona, and Kalista.
Beyond champion updates, a whimsical Bandle-inspired Rift will spice up non-Ranked modes, featuring Enchanted Gifts that materialize through portals during the laning phase. Mages are in for a treat with long-awaited item updates. The new Bandle Fantasy item adds extra burst damage, while Hextech GLP800 slows foes with frost bombs, and Malignance enhances ultimate abilities, making spellcasters even more formidable.
Ranked mode is also seeing substantial changes. A new season kicks off with the launch of the Challenger’s Star, introducing updates to the Ranked store and simplifying the process of earning seasonal rewards. Midway through the patch, the Adventure’s Star will unlock, bringing AAAARAM—a new twist on ARAM with additional augments and stunning galactic visuals. The Wild Pass will feature two breathtaking skins: Wondertown Twisted Fate, introducing a fresh skinline, and Battlecast Nasus.
LoL: Wild Rift’s version 6.1 patch is slated for release on April 16th. For more details, be sure to visit the official website.
