Teardown Adds Multiplayer and Folkrace DLC

Tuxedo Labs has exciting news for fans of their acclaimed sandbox game, Teardown, announcing the introduction of a multiplayer mode and the launch of the Folkrace DLC. The Folkrace DLC is set to enrich the single-player experience with new maps, vehicles, and racing challenges, allowing players to compete in various events, earn rewards, and customize their vehicles to excel on the tracks.

The eagerly awaited multiplayer feature will initially be available on Steam’s Experimental Branch, offering players early access to test and provide feedback. Tuxedo Labs is particularly keen on hearing from the modding community, as the game’s API will be updated to facilitate the adaptation of mods for multiplayer environments.

The development team has long aimed to incorporate multiplayer into Teardown, responding to frequent requests from the community. This update marks a significant milestone in achieving that goal.

Upon its debut, the multiplayer mode will be accessible through the "Experimental" branch on Steam, allowing players to explore this new feature while the team rolls out API updates to ensure compatibility with existing mods. Once thoroughly tested, multiplayer will become a permanent fixture of Teardown.

Looking to the future, Tuxedo Labs teased that two additional major DLCs are currently in development, with more information slated for release later in 2025.
