Team Go Rocket Returns for Fashion Week and Ho-Oh's Shadow Raid Day in Pokémon Go

Get ready for an action-packed Pokémon GO Fashion Week: Taken Over event, running from January 15th to January 19th, 2025. During this thrilling period, you'll have the opportunity to confront Team Go Rocket, including their leader Giovanni, and rescue Shadow Palkia. The excitement doesn't stop there; on January 19th, you can participate in Ho-Oh's Shadow Raid Day, where you'll have a higher chance of encountering Shiny Ho-Oh and securing the powerful Charged Attack Sacred Fire.

Fashion Week also marks the debut of Shroodle and its evolution, Grafaiai. You can hatch Shroodle from 12 km Eggs, adding these new Pokémon to your collection. Expect to see Team Go Rocket more frequently at PokéStops and in balloons, offering numerous chances to use Charged TMs to help your Shadow Pokémon forget the Frustration move.

New Shadow Pokémon will be available, including Shadow Taillow, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Trubbish, and Bunnelby. Some of these rescues might even be Shiny, adding extra excitement to your battles. These Shadow Pokémon can be challenged in various Shadow Raids, and for the first time, you can use Remote Raid Passes to join these battles from anywhere.

Engage in the special research task that will lead you to a Super Rocket Radar, setting you on a path to confront Giovanni and rescue Shadow Palkia. The event also features Field Research tasks, rewarding you with Mysterious Components, Charged TMs, and Fast TMs. Completing a special Collection Challenge will earn you Stardust and an encounter with Trubbish.

Mark your calendars for Ho-Oh Shadow Raid Day on January 19th, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. This event provides extra Raid Passes and a higher chance of encountering Shiny Ho-Oh.
