Rockstar Releases Bully Anniversary Update After Six Years!
Rockstar Games, the masterminds behind the iconic GTA series, have just released an Anniversary Edition update for their beloved game, Bully, specifically for mobile users. After a long wait of six years, this update breathes new life into the mobile version of Bully, leaving console and PC players out of the loop for now.
Rockstar Hasn’t Forgotten about Bullworth Academy!
The Bully: Anniversary Edition update brings fresh enhancements and fixes to the game. Key among these are the introduction of new languages and a strong focus on improving stability and ironing out bugs. However, Rockstar has temporarily disabled Friends Challenges to ensure a smoother gameplay experience.
For Android users with compatible devices, the update introduces Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO), enhancing the visual experience. Additionally, the app icon has been refreshed, and haptic feedback has been added to both iOS and Android platforms to make gameplay more immersive.
Several missions have received much-needed attention. For instance, in 'That Bitch', the issue with Mandy’s locker being impossible to pick has been resolved. Similarly, 'Weed Killer' now progresses correctly even if you break the window prematurely. The update also fixes the bizarre issue in 'The Rumble' where police cars would inexplicably fall through the floor.
Combat dynamics have been improved as well; previously, enemies would sometimes refuse to attack Jimmy, making fights feel unbalanced. This has been corrected, alongside fixing crashes that could occur when starting a new game or loading a saved game from the pause menu.
What Do Players Have to Say about Bully: Anniversary Edition?
While fans have been clamoring for a Bully 2 for years, Rockstar seems focused elsewhere. Reports suggest that a sequel was in development during the 2010s but was shelved in favor of Red Dead Redemption 2 and the lucrative GTA Online. With GTA 6 on the horizon, the prospects for Bully 2 seem dim, especially with many of the original developers having moved on from Rockstar.
Though this new update isn't the full remaster or sequel that many hoped for, it's a welcome upgrade for mobile players. For those new to the series, Bully offers a unique take on the schoolyard sandbox genre. As Jimmy Hopkins, a 15-year-old rebel, you navigate the challenges of Bullworth Academy, enjoying the classic Rockstar humor and open-world antics.
You can grab Bully: Anniversary Edition on the Google Play Store for €7.99. It comes with full gamepad support, making it a great way to dive into this classic game on your mobile device.
