Explore Spider-Woman's Origin in New Marvel Contest of Champions Update

Marvel Contest of Champions (MCOC) is gearing up for an exciting April with the introduction of new champions and thrilling updates. The spotlight is on Spider-Woman, also known as Jessica Drew, who will make her debut in the game on April 17th. Jessica's origin story is as compelling as her powers; she was exposed to uranium as a child, prompting her father, a brilliant geneticist, to use a concoction of spider DNA in a desperate bid to save her life. After overcoming the initial adverse effects, Jessica emerged with incredible spider-like abilities, transforming her into the formidable Spider-Woman.

But before Spider-Woman swings into action, MCOC will introduce Lumatrix on April 9th. This assassin, crafted by the Founders, is equipped with dazzling light powers, making him a lethal infiltrator and eliminator. His arrival promises to shake up the game's dynamics significantly.

What Else Is New?

April's narrative arc, Act 9 Chapter 2: Inquisition, unfolds with high stakes. Carina suffers severe injuries after a confrontation with Ouroborus forces, while Doctor Doom joins forces with the Fantastic Four. The spread of Chronoserpent corruption adds to the tension, and a new villain, Lotan, emerges to challenge the champions.

From April 9th to May 7th, the Event Quest "Spy Games" will captivate players. Black Widow, delving into the enigma of the Eidols, enlists the help of Spider-Woman to unravel the mystery.

The return of Dark Phoenix in the Side Quest "Dark Bounties" adds another layer of excitement. Players must hunt down champions targeted by Dark Phoenix's bounty to claim their rewards.

The Incursions: Dark Phoenix Saga Sector also makes a comeback, challenging players to assemble their most powerful Saga champions to battle for Dark Plumes, Light Essence, Tier 7 Basic Fragments, and 7-Star Class Signature Stones.
