Funcom has unveiled an enthralling new trailer for Dune: Awakening, their upcoming multiplayer survival game set in the iconic "Dune" universe crafted by Frank Herbert. The trailer highlights the vast and treacherous deserts of Arrakis, showcasing the myriad challenges and opportunities that await players in this expansive environment.

In Dune: Awakening, survival hinges on exploration. Players are tasked with traversing the dangerous dunes to collect vital resources needed for constructing shelters and vehicles, including combat-ready ornithopters. To streamline the search for resources, players can use a scanner, while setting up probes on higher ground will uncover crucial points of interest on the map.

These points of interest include crashed spacecraft and deserted outposts. Accessing these sites often demands creativity and the use of tools such as grappling hooks, power belts, and specialized gear. All equipment can be enhanced at the player's base with modular components, ensuring readiness for the perils that lie ahead.

The early access launch of Dune: Awakening is scheduled for May 20, exclusively for PC players. Console versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S will be released at a later date. In preparation, players can now create their characters and evaluate system performance using the benchmark tool available on Steam.
