Capcom to Crack Down on Monster Hunter Wilds Cheaters Before Update 1

Monster Hunter Wilds is set to receive its first Title Update tomorrow, introducing quests that challenge players to achieve the fastest clear times. In anticipation of this update, Capcom has issued a strong warning against cheating and the use of external tools that could manipulate rankings or quest completion times.

In a recent post on the Monster Hunter account on X/Twitter, Capcom stated, "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts found in violation may be suspended or have restrictions placed on them, including the inability to receive rewards from these quests."

Moreover, Capcom emphasized that players who participate in multiplayer hunts with cheaters could also face consequences, including invalidated quest completion times and the loss of "right to rewards" for the entire party. The company advised players to be cautious and avoid playing with those suspected of engaging in prohibited activities, urging them to report any observed cheating.

The new quests will offer attractive rewards, such as cosmetic pendants, which will be distributed to all participants or awarded based on Completion Time and hunter rankings. This makes Capcom's crackdown on cheating understandable, as it aims to maintain the integrity of rewards and completion times.

These Time-Based Competition Quests will be accessible through the new Arena Quest Counter in the Grand Hub in Suja, which players can unlock by completing a special tutorial mission.
