"Blasphemous Now Available on Android for Gamers"

Organized religion can sometimes evoke a sense of eeriness, as evidenced by the chilling nun movie series. However, Blasphemous from The Game Kitchen takes this to a whole new level with its haunting gothic ambiance, intense side-scrolling combat, and challenging gameplay. Now available on Android, this hardcore 2D platformer draws inspiration from religious themes and Spanish folklore.

In Blasphemous, you step into the shoes of The Penitent One, an armored warrior on a mission to liberate the island of Cvstodia from the clutches of a sinister curse known as The Miracle. As you battle through hordes of monsters and grotesque creatures, your goal is to free the inhabitants from this malevolent curse, even if it means facing death repeatedly.

The Android version of Blasphemous features a completely revamped user interface and intuitive controls tailored for mobile devices. For those who prefer more traditional gaming setups, the game also supports Bluetooth gamepads. Additionally, the mobile port includes all the DLCs, ensuring you get the full Blasphemous experience right out of the gate.

Blasphemous Gameplay ScreenshotIf you're an iOS user, you'll need to wait until late February 2025 to get your hands on Blasphemous. Given the acclaim it has received from both players and critics, the wait is likely to be well worth it.

Personally, I've found mobile platformers to be a mixed bag, especially when it comes to precision platforming on touchscreens. My experience with the iconic Metroidvania, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, left me wanting more control. However, if you're up for the challenge, why not explore some of the top 25 best platformers for Android and iOS that we've carefully curated for you?
