"Avowed: Guide to Respec Your Character"
Feeling stuck with your character's build in *Avowed*? Don't worry, it happens to the best of us. Choosing the wrong class or investing in the wrong attributes can be frustrating. But fear not! In this guide, I'll walk you through the process of respeccing and changing your stats in *Avowed* to help you craft the perfect character for your playstyle.
How to Respec Your Character in Avowed (& When You Want To)
Starting a new game can be daunting, especially when you're unsure about the character you'll enjoy playing. That's where respeccing comes in handy. If you're not enjoying your current setup, it's time to consider a respec. In *Avowed*, I initially went for a full wizard build but found myself struggling, so I switched to a spellsword. As you progress, you might want to respec to optimize your combat effectiveness and achieve your dream build.
How to Respec Your Abilities in Avowed
To respec in *Avowed*, head to the menu and select the “Abilities” section. At the bottom, you'll find the “Reset Points” option. The initial cost is 100 Copper Skeyt, which increases as you progress. Confirm your choice, pay the fee, and all your ability points will be reset across all skill trees, except for the “Godlike” abilities, which are fixed based on in-game choices.
How to Respec Your Attributes in Avowed
If you're satisfied with your abilities but want to tweak your attributes, or if you're looking to overhaul everything, navigate to the “Character” section in the menu. At the bottom, below the attribute names, you'll see a button with an associated cost, starting at 100 Copper Skeyt. Press the button, pay the cost, and your Attribute points will be refunded, ready for redistribution.
How to Respec Your Companion in Avowed
To respec your companion, go to the menu, enter the “Abilities” section, and switch to the “Companions” tab. Under your companion's name, you'll find an icon that allows you to respec for a certain amount of Copper Skeyt. Click the button, confirm your choice, and you'll regain all of the companion's points. Remember, you'll need to respec each companion individually.
And that's how you can respec in *Avowed*. Experiment with different builds until you find the one that feels right for you.
