Application Description

MotorData Hybrid is the premier automotive software for diagnosing Toyota and Lexus hybrid vehicles. This OBD2 scan tool app supports OBD2, EOBD, and JOBD protocols, going beyond simple trouble code reading and Check Engine light resets. It provides comprehensive diagnostics for your hybrid system, including the hybrid battery, inverter, gasoline engine, transmission, ABS, SRS, VSC, and air conditioning systems.

Real-time Monitoring of Critical Hybrid System Data:

High-voltage hybrid battery cell temperature
Inverter, MG1, and MG2 temperatures
HV battery diagnosis (SOC and Delta SOC)
HV battery internal resistance
HV battery cell voltage

The app also provides real-time data monitoring for engine and brake control systems, displaying parameters such as speed, acceleration, RPM, temperature, pressure, oxygen sensor data, short-term and long-term fuel trims, torque sensor data, and other key vehicle characteristics. This data is presented in clear, easy-to-understand real-time graphs.

Proactive Diagnostics for Preventative Maintenance: Real-time data monitoring allows for immediate detection of anomalies, helping prevent costly hybrid powertrain repairs. The diagnostic program reads and clears DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes), reads Freeze Frame data, and includes a built-in database of P0xxx and P2xxx trouble codes with detailed descriptions. Enhanced functionality, including access to detailed hybrid system parameters, is unlocked through the purchase of the 'Toyota (Lexus) + Hybrid' plugin (see the 'Plugins' section within the app).

Before purchasing the plugin, a free trial is recommended to test compatibility with your vehicle, ELM327 adapter, and mobile device. Supported control units and parameters will be displayed, but some values will be hidden until the plugin is purchased.

The 'Reference' section (a paid plugin) offers detailed descriptions of Toyota and Lexus hybrid vehicle warning and indicator lights. Currently, it includes descriptions for 147 unique warning lamps, providing valuable insights and guidance for maintaining your hybrid vehicle. This section simplifies maintenance for models such as the Toyota Prius, Camry Hybrid, Highlander Hybrid, Estima Hybrid, Harrier Hybrid, and Lexus RX 400h, 450h, and other hybrids.
