Bimmer-Tool empowers you to diagnose and maintain your BMW vehicle effectively. This app provides comprehensive capabilities for reading and clearing fault codes, initiating DPF regeneration, and accessing real-time engine data, among other functions. For BMWs manufactured before 2008, functionality is somewhat limited, and a K+DCan USB cable connection is strongly recommended. Wireless ELM adapter connectivity might be unreliable or offer incomplete functionality on pre-2008 models.

Supported OBD Adapters:

• ELM327 WiFi (Potentially less stable; may require disabling mobile data.)

**Quick Start Guide:**

1. Connect adapter to the OBD II port.
2. Turn the ignition on.
3. Connect the adapter to your phone (USB, Bluetooth, or WiFi).
4. Launch the app, select your car's model and year.
5. Choose your connection type, adapter type, and communication protocol.
6. Tap "Connect".

**Limitations:** For models pre-2008 and E46/E39/E83/E53 series, a K+DCan cable is required, and only the engine ECU is supported. Wireless ELM adapter connection may be impossible.

Troubleshooting:

• "No response" error (pre-2007 models with BT/WiFi): Try selecting the ATWM option in advanced connection settings.
• No connection: Force-stop diagnostic apps (including Bimmer-Tool) or restart your phone.

Permissions: Storage (USB support), Photos/Media/Files (CSV creation), Bluetooth access, Network access (WiFi support), Approximate location (not used).
